How much do you know about HEX makeup
school?
How
does HEX program work in just 5 days? Our short-term program is a
comprehensive program. What does that mean? Comprehensive means more
condense and efficient rather than spread-out or, in some cases, maybe less
productive and not to the point. Comprehensive also means without running
around - cutting to the chase. It is direct and dynamic approach.
There are many universities and
colleges that offer comprehensive programming. Some makeup schools still operate
in an old-fashion sense - more laid back, slow and haven’t improved their curriculum
with modern makeup techniques, nor have they updated their methods. Nowadays, schools offer their classes in a
much smaller time frame from two days up to a week. With good instructional
techniques, short-term classes work just as good, if not better, than those
that take two-five times as long, but with less cost and less time. See it for
yourself on our Web site.
- Do the longer-length
courses work better than a short and comprehensive way of schooling?
Not really, it all depends on the quality of teaching, method, and
techniques. Dragging something out for a longer period of time does not
guarantee any better results. As a
matter of fact, most community colleges and state universities are now trying
to offer comprehensive / short term courses, called “Pace Programs.” Why
should you spend any unnecessary time in the classroom when you can gain
experience and make money out of the classroom?
- How come some schools do
the same program, but in a much longer time frame, or they do the same
course, but in many different segments rather than all at once? Learning
beauty makeup artistry is not a rocket science. With proper instruction
and good techniques, it can be done in five days or it could be dragged-out
and stretched for months. The main point is the result of the program.
Here are a couple things to look for:
ü
See which school is offering better results
(see their students’ work on their site). It doesn’t matter how or how long
they do their courses as long as they do it right - then it must be working.
ü
See which school is giving you more service for
your money (tuition), the quality of instruction, as well as a good instructor.
Don’t forget that longer classes charge much more for their “stretched” class
time and you are paying for it. The big question is “Are you really getting anything
more out of it or is it just a way to create a bigger tuition charge?”
3.
How come some
schools do the same course, but in many different segments rather than all at
once?
ü
Regarding the breaking down of classes - there
is really no need to break down a beauty program into different segments. HEX
offers its programs all- in-one, so you can get the most for your money
(quality service). However it could be broken down into different segments to
generate more business ($$) for some schools. Is there any need for it? No, it
could be done all at once or it could be done in segments, but don’t forget,
the bottom line is that students are the ones who are paying for it - literally.
- What if I can’t keep up
with the speed of the program like others in the class? At HEX, we
have a “program re-takes” policy. This is to give students a peace of
mind. This is just in case you could not catch up to the rest of the class;
you have the option to request to retake the entire program at no
additional cost - up to five times!
- Is HEX certification the
same as other schools? Is it usable anywhere
in the USA or Europe? HEX
certification is similar to most of other makeup schools and programs
everywhere in the United States. Our Certification does not expire and it can
be used worldwide. It is a great tool to have to help you achieve
professional employment as a professional makeup artist.
- How come HEX only teaches a few classes
every year? How come HEX does not cover every town and every city at all
times? Why do HEX classes book way
ahead of time? We get these questions a lot. We care about the
quality of our instruction, which we believe is the most important aspect
of schooling, and that is the main reason for our many years of success.
Our classes are only instructed by the high-demand, Hollywood makeup
artist - Angie G. Ford and she can only do so many classes a year. Why
aren’t we hiring other instructors? Because then some of you won’t get the
same quality education. We would rather teach fewer classes, but do it
right. The point is getting the job done right - quality versus
quantity.
